Marilyn Williams is an established Designer and Tailor.  She is a fourth-generation designer with over 20 years’ experience. Her love for fashion has taken her on a quest to find training in many avenues of the fashion industry. Marilyn Williams is Torie-Mekhi’s Fashion Couture head designer and founder located in Lithonia Ga. She has spent many years expertly working as a seamstress in a mass-production factory in beautiful Island of Jamaica.  After migrating to the states in 1990’s she acquires her first degree of Associate of Science in Fashion Design.

She studied pattern making, design and construction of children’s wear, swimwear, tailoring, and extensively women’s wear. Marilyn is a dedicated individual that views designing /sewing as an art. Through custom design, mass production or Cosplay, the ultimate goal is the same; she wants each of her clients to look their best!

Marilyn is an alumnus from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale in Florida and American Intercontinental University in Atlanta where she further develops all her past skills, also adding menswear to her list. Prior to her degree years, she worked in several garment industries in Jamaica where she has acquired extensive knowledge of production and manufacturing of garments.

Her skills were enhanced while working at several other entities such as bridal/ formal and tailor shops, sewing for herself, family members and friends. After the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, American Intercontinental University she still finds time to give back to her community. The past four years she successfully organized and run a summer camp for eight weeks teaching various life skills sewing, baking, crafts and many more. She continues to share her passion through work, fun, Church and School. She continues to learn and teaches each day; she welcomes anyone who would like to know more about this unique and wonderful skill. Marilyn is always on the go; her friends affectionately called her “The Show must go on”!!

She’s very passionate and dedicated about her work as a designer including all aspect of fashion.  She quotes to her kids and friends that you should “Reach for the Stars fall on the Clouds” she’s very honored and humbled that you have allowed her share her skills she can’t wait to meet you.
